Siri Mutalik Desai

Executive Committee Secretary

Siri began art at age five and won her first art competition the same year. Since then, she’s won PTSA's Reflections contest thrice at her school and has received awards in several art competitions. Her inspiration for art stems from things she’s passionate about, such as social issues, music, and nature. Her favorite mediums are charcoal and acrylic paint. Recently, she’s also been experimenting with Bob Ross painting styles. Her love for art doesn’t stop there—in 2023, she joined the Expressions Arts organization as part of their Executive Council and became the lead coordinator for the non-profit’s annual magazine. She’s also the co-founder of Sketchbook Studios, an initiative dedicated to fostering a love for both art and STEM concepts in children. Sketchbook Studios won the 2023 Expressions Arts Microgrant, which enabled them to collaborate with Sammamish Montessori School in Redmond, WA to launch Imagine Labs, an interactive program that introduces kids to STEM concepts through art. In addition, she’s a certified Teen Docent at the Bellevue Arts Museum. In the future, she aspires to bring awareness to diverse social issues through her artwork.
